THIS WEEK'S PREDICTIONS

SUNDAY

Blackburn v Reading
Blackburn v Reading

Blackburn's draw at Tottenham means they can't qualify for Europe, but Mark Hughes will want a strong finish in front of the home crowd.

If results go right for Reading they could still quallify for Europe, but whatever happens, they have had a great season.

Prediction: 2-0

Bolton v Aston Villa
Bolton v Aston Villa

Villa started the season with a run of nine unbeaten games, and this could see them finish the season unbeaten in nine. They have got a vibrant, pacy attack and are going well at the moment.

Bolton were poor at West Ham and although I think they'll get a point, Portsmouth's goal difference is better, which might be important for Uefa Cup places.

Prediction: 1-1

Chelsea v Everton
Chelsea v Everton

There will be probably be all sorts of players missing in the Chelsea line-up, as they will have more than one eye on the FA Cup final.

Everton's place in the Uefa Cup is safe, and I can see Chelsea just nosing home in this one.

Prediction: 2-1

Liverpool v Charlton
Liverpool v Charlton

Liverpool will probably make changes, but I think they will put out a strong side, so they can finish with a win and get the feel-good factor before the Champions League final.

There will be plenty of Charlton fans at Anfield to say goodbye to the Premiership, but Alan Pardew has done a good job and it might not be long before they are back.

Prediction: 2-0

Man Utd v West Ham
Man Utd v West Ham

Sir Alex Ferguson is always aware of his responsibilities to other teams in the Premiership, and with the title trophy being presented at home, they will put out a strong team to sign off with a good performance.

Bad news for West Ham, but they should be OK and have probably just done enough.

Prediction: 3-1

Middlesbrough v Fulham
Middlesbrough v Fulham

With both teams safe, this is a real non-event, with nothing riding on it. Because of that, it might be an open, entertaining game with both teams relaxed and out to attack.

They may even see it as an ideal chance to blood a few youngsters, especially Boro.

Prediction: 2-2

Portsmouth v Arsenal
Portsmouth v Arsenal

Portsmouth need to win and hope other results go their way to have any chance of making the last Uefa Cup place. Again, they've had a good season, with Harry working his magic.

But Arsenal have finished strongly in the past few weeks, and as good as Pompey have been at home this season, I have a sneaking feeling Arsenal will go there and win.

Prediction: 0-2

Sheff Utd v Wigan
Sheff Utd v Wigan

I just cannot see Wigan getting the win that they need. They've had one of those runs where every defensive error is punished, and they can't take their chances. Every club's season has a turning point and Wigan's was probably that penalty decision at Arsenal. People said at the time that could have massive repurcussions.

Sheffield United know what they have to do, and they are relaxed.

Prediction: 2-1

Tottenham v Man City
Tottenham v Manchester City

Spurs need a point to make their Uefa Cup absolutely safe, and will easily get that against City.

City are a rudderless ship at the moment, they can't score and they need to make massive personnel changes in the close season.

Prediction: 3-0

Watford v Newcastle
Watford v Newcastle
Just as Adrian Boothroyd signs a new contract at Watford, we're waiting for Sam Allardyce to be appointed at Newcastle - and I think he will be. I just hope whoever takes over at Newcastle is given at least two to three years to set the club up right.

Ironically, in a week when Newcastle have lost their manager, I can see them getting a win.

Prediction: 1-2
