The Scottish Football Association have confirmed that chief executive David Taylor will leave his post at the end of March. Taylor is leaving to become the general secretary of Uefa and will be replaced by SFA president John McBeth while a replacement is sought.
Recruitment consultants Odgers Ray & Berndtson will help in the search for a suitable successor.
Taylor, a lawyer by profession, joined the SFA as chief executive in 1999.
He will replace Lars-Christer Olsson in the highest administrative post with European football's governing body.
Taylor said: "The Scottish FA is a very different organisation now to that which I joined in 1999.
"It has been a great pleasure to work with the board of directors and the staff in the change process.
"Much remains to be done but I am pleased I can leave the SFA in a strong financial position and with long-term plans in place to strengthen the base of our national game in the years ahead."
