It was alleged Collymore touted Enoch Showunmi to Millwall without the knowledge or consent of the striker's then club Luton.

It was also alleged he represented Showumni without a written contract.

The charge was brought following information provided by Luton boss Mike Newell, and Collymore has requested a personal hearing with the FA.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by Millwall.

The FA is still investigating another claim made by Newell, who met with the FA in January after he made claims about corruption in football.

Nigerian Showumni is now a Bristol City player.

The charge against Collymore is unrelated to the recent allegations made by the BBC's Panorama programme.

Meanwhile, the FA has suspended agent Charles Mambo "from all football and football activity" after he completed their test of 'good character and reputation'.

The FA has recently announced disciplinary action against two other licensed agents.

Saif Rubie was fined �600 and had his agent's licence briefly suspended following a disciplinary hearing before supplying the information they requested.

And Ian Elliott has been warned to his future conduct after admitting he failed to lodge a representation contract for Sunderland player Grant Leadbitter.
