Hasselbaink joined Charlton on a free transfer from Middlesbrough |
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink opened his Charlton account in the 4-1 friendly win over Millwall. Hasselbaink, who signed on a free in the summer, stroked home after a Lloyd Sam through-ball after 11 minutes but Marvin Elliott equalised.
Darren Ambrose quickly restored Charlton's lead with a header.
Talal El Karkouri and James Walker then added a goal each in four second-half minutes to put the game beyond the League One side.
