Fulham lost their first pre-season friendly to Exeter with Lee Phillips netting the only goal. The home side took the lead just after the half-hour mark when Fulham's offside trap failed.
Papa Bouba Diop missed the visitors' best chance, when his header was tipped over by Grecians keeper Martin Rice.
Jimmy Bullard made his Fulham debut following his move from Wigan and Academy prospects Wayne Brown and Elliott Omozusi also started.
