Eriksson has Champions League aim
Sven-Goran Eriksson
Eriksson wants a club with Champions League potential
Sven-Goran Eriksson's agent says the former England boss wants to manage a club with "Champions League potential".

"He is very keen to get back," Athole Still told BBC Five Live Sport.

It has been claimed that Eriksson is still being paid by the Football Association but Still would not confirm or deny such reports.

However, Still added: "If he is receiving money, if at all, from the FA that will not impact on his desire to get back into football."

Still confirmed that the Swede wants to take over an outfit with aspirations of making and competing in the Champions League - if he is to return to managing a club side.

There have been offers and I have kept the FA well informed

"He is a professional," added Still. "He has been in football for donkeys years now and he wants to get back as soon as possible.

"He will work with any club that has, if it's a European club, Champions League potential - that's what he wants. He doesn't want to go to a middle or lower club.

"Everybody knows that it is impossible to be challenging in the Champions League unless you've got considerable money behind you."

Eriksson had been linked with a return to Benfica, although that rumour was played down last week, while there has also been speculation about him becoming boss at Inter Milan.

"There have been offers and I have kept the FA well informed," said Still. "I have a very good relationship with chief executive Brian Barwick.

"There are those in the media who would suggest that Sven is swanning around here, there and everywhere on beaches and yachts, sunning himself surrounded by a bevy of lovely ladies and just taking the money.

"Absolutely not. He wants to get back into football."
