Romario helped Brazil win the World Cup in 1994 |
Former Brazil striker Romario is pondering a return to his first club Vasco da Gama, despite a media report that he had decided to retire. The Rio de Janeiro newspaper O Globo ran a report on Tuesday quoting Romario saying he had decided to stop playing.
Romario, 38, said: "I want to make it quite clear I'm not going to stop playing. All I said was that I didn't really feel like playing.
"I've got an offer from Vasco and I'll see what I'm going to do."
Romario was sacked by Fluminense in October.
Fluminense fired Romario after a season during which he struggled for match fitness and repeatedly clashed with his coaches.
