United flew out for their three-match, 10-day tour on Wednesday with an 18-man squad.
They left without Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who suffered the recurrence of a knee injury which required surgery last September and caused him to miss the majority of the season.
But midfielder Nicky Butt made the squad, despite being hotly tipped for a switch to Premiership rivals Newcastle.
The club are expected to start with a relatively youthful set-up against Bayern Munich on Sunday with key figures rested after the exertions of Euro 2004.
A host of new faces are expected to be unveiled at the event, among them former Benfica midfielder Tiago, who joined Chelsea on Wednesday.
