Powell has brought a new face into the squad |
England coach Hope Powell has selected her squad to play African champions Nigeria in a friendly on 22 April and has called up Arsenal's Jo Potter for the first time. Potter's team-mate Leanne Champ returns after pulling out of February's match against Denmark through injury.
The only other changes to the squad which beat Denmark 2-0 are the exclusion of Corinne Yorston and Ann-Marie Heatherston, who is injured.
Kelly Smith will again lead the attack after scoring in the win over Denmark.
England are currently 13th in Fifa's world rankings, with Nigeria in 27th place.
The sides have met just twice before, and have one victory apiece.
Nigeria will be Africa's representative at the Athens Olympics in August, having beaten South Africa 3-2 on aggregate last month.
Tickets for the match, to be played at Reading's Madejski Stadium, go on sale next week and can be bought through the FA's website.
