Bosnich has been embroiled in legal wranglings for months |
Mark Bosnich has lost his appeal against Chelsea's decision to fine him for failing a drugs test. A statement on the FA's website read: "The FA can confirm that on Wednesday a disciplinary commission heard an appeal from Mark Bosnich against his doping conviction.
"The appeal board ordered Bosnich's penalty should remain and the appeal be dismissed."
Bosnich is currently serving a nine-month suspension from the sport following a positive test for cocaine, with the ban is scheduled to run until 23 September.
He had previously had an appeal against his dismissal from Stamford Bridge upheld by the Football League appeals committee on 13 June.
Then last month, a Premier League board ruled against Bosnich on four of the five punishments imposed on him by Chelsea, which he had contested.
