Zurab Khizanishvili was the SPL young player of the year |
Rangers have revealed that Georgian international defender Zura Khizanishvili has passed a medical and agreed personal terms with the Ibrox club. Khizanishvili's contract with Dundee runs out on 30 June and he will become a Rangers player thereafter.
Dundee are due compensation for Khizanishvili's development as he is under the age of 24.
And the Dens Park club are angry at the offer of 90,000 from the Scottish Treble-winners.

"Rangers are trying to buy a Rolls Royce for the price of a Lada," a Dundee spokesman said on Thursday. "Rangers have approached us with a compensation offer which is a pittance.
"We are naturally disappointed and we should wait for the real offer now."
If the Ibrox club fail to increase their initial offer to nearer Dundee's valuation of 300,000 then the matter is likely to go to a tribunal.
"The compensation scheme was set up to protect clubs and young players from these particular types of situation," the Dundee spokesman continued.
"We have said from the outset that if Zura left us we would be seeking substantial compensation and nothing has changed that."
Khizanishvili, 21, is already a regular for Georgia and helped Dundee reach the Scottish Cup final last month.
He arrives as Rangers await the departure of cup final goalscorer Lorenzo Amoruso.
The Italian defender is expected to move to Blackburn Rovers for 1.4m as Rangers attempt to reduce their large wage bill.
However, Khizanishvili has warned the Ibrox supporters not to expect him to be a direct replacement for Amoruso.
"I am not the new Amoruso and I hope people don't expect me to be him," he told the Daily Mail.
"I don't mind if I play in central defence or in midfield - I will play where I am told and I don't know yet for sure what the manager is planning.
"There was interest from Everton and a couple more English clubs. Sporting Lisbon made me an offer as well but I still felt coming to Ibrox was the best option."
Khizanishvili becomes Rangers boss Alex McLeish's second summer signing following the capture of Nuno Capucho from Porto.
