Giggs' spirits lifted by Wales
Manchester United and Wales winger Ryan Giggs
Giggs is unhappy with United's current plight
Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs has highlighted the current unrest at Manchester United by revealing he would rather play for his country than his club.

Giggs, part of the United first team since stepping up from trainee level 12 years ago, is clearly unimpressed by the club's current misfortunes.

Their next three games will go a long way to shaping their season, as United face Newcastle, Liverpool and then champions Arsenal.

I am enjoying playing for Wales more than United at the moment - but that's not hard is it
Ryan Giggs
United's 1-1 draw at struggling West Ham on Sunday left Sir Alex Ferguson's side nine points off the Premiership pace.

Before that, Giggs has a date with Wales, who play Azerbaijan in a Euro 2004 qualifier on Wednesday.

Giggs admitted: "I am enjoying playing for Wales more than United at the moment - but that's not hard is it?"

The mood at Old Trafford is not helped by a sickening injury crisis, with David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane and Nicky Butt all among the absentees.
