Braintree Town have completed the signing of Hampton & Richmond defender David Stevens, while six of last season's squad have agreed new deals.
Nicky Symons, Matt Paine, Kenny Davis, Scott Shulton, Sam Lechmere and Ryan Peters have signed one-year contracts.
Free transfer Stevens, 23, has also joined on a 12-month deal.
Boss Alan Devonshire said: "It's great that David Stevens has joined the club and that so many of last season's squad have decided to stay with us."
