The Billown programme will consist of three eight-lap races on 12 June |
The Southern '100' races will receive essential funds at a charity fundraising event next month. An evening of music is planned for 5 February to raise money for the helicopter air ambulance service. The Southern '100' races take place every July on the Billown Circuit in the South of the Isle of Man. Press officer for the races, Phil Edge, said: "The rescue helicopter service is vital for rider safety and additional funds are most welcome." He added: "The service costs the club in the region of five figures every year and much of our income is dependant on private donations from people who love the Billown races." Previous riders at the Southern '100' include Joey Dunlop, Robert Dunlop, Guy Martin, Ryan Farquhar and Ian Lougher.
