Robinson-Baker was 7th in the springboard at the 2008 Olympics |
Nick Robinson-Baker secured his third title at the British Diving Championships in Sheffield with victory in the 3m springboard. The 23-year-old, from Hampshire, was out in front through all three rounds and won with a score of 424.45. The Olympian was triumphant in the 1m springboard and 3m synchro on Friday. "This whole weekend is about qualifying for the Europeans and Commonwealth Games and I put myself forward with three victories," said Robinson-Baker. The European Aquatics Championships take place in August in Budapest before October's Commonwealths in Delhi. Peter Waterfield and Max Brick took the platform synchro title, while Sarah Barrow won the women's 10m platform by a mere 1.7 points from Tonia Couch. Waterfield is expected to successfully defend his individual 10m platform title on Sunday with world champion Tom Daley absent due to a back injury. Promising young duo Hannah Starling and Grace Reid, meanwhile, became the women's 3m synchro champions.
