Lydia Greenway steered England to victory for the second straight match as they beat Australia by five wickets in the second women's Twenty20. Greenway struck an unbeaten run-a-ball 30 to see England past Australia's 99-3 with two deliveries to spare. The 25-year-old left-hander also top-scored with 39 not out in Wednesday's successful chase in Adelaide. England now lead the five-match series 2-0 ahead of the final three games, which all take place in Canberra. England suffered a wobble at 56-4 at the MCG before a 43-run stand between Greenway and Jenny Gunn (19) settled the match. Gunn fell with the scores level in the final over from Ellyse Perry to leave Heather Knight to seal the win with a straight drive that deflected off the bowler. England's bowlers shared only three wickets between them in Australia's innings, but the hosts were unable to find the boundaries on a difficult pitch that had been covered for the majority of the day due to rain.  | We'll be looking to carry this momentum forwards to Canberra |
The poor weather reduced the match to 16 overs per side. Shelley Nitschke was the best for the hosts with 27 from 30 balls while Danielle Hazell, Holly Colvin and Gunn shared England's wickets. If there was a negative for the tourists it came in the shape of four dropped catches and six wides. Player of the match Greenway said: "I just tried to keep calm and concentrate on what we had to do. It's great to be in form and playing well, and fantastic to win at such an impressive ground. "We missed a few in the field today. All the girls have the skill, I think it must just have been nerves. "It's a massive statement to come out and back up Wednesday's performance, so we'll be looking to carry this momentum forwards to Canberra."
