England women start India tour with warm-up victory

Greenway struck 81 off just 82 balls as England piled on the runs in Bangalore

Lydia Greenway led the way with the bat as England women kicked off their tour of India with a comprehensive win over a Board President's XI in Bangalore.

Sarah Taylor got England going with a brisk 52 before Greenway fired 81 to lead them to 273-9 from their 50 overs.

Charlotte Edwards (3-14) and Laura Marsh (2-20) then helped bowl out the hosts for 132 to seal a 141-run win.

England are looking to build on a 2009 when they won the World Cup, World Twenty20 Cup and retained the Ashes.

They face five one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches against India, starting with the opening game on Friday, 19 February.
