England women wrapped up a 3-1 one-day series victory over New Zealand with a six-wicket victory in the final match in Christchurch on Monday. The tourists limited New Zealand to 241-9, with opener Aimee Mason hitting 67 off 92 balls. Captain Charlotte Edwards then led by example in England's reply, blasting 83 off 69 balls, as England reached their target with 14 balls to spare. Edwards said: "It's been the most successful tour down under ever." England's bowlers had shared the wickets around, with Nicky Shaw, Isa Guha and Edwards all taking two wickets. Katherine Brunt and Laura Marsh took one apiece. Edwards said: "We tied the ODI series against Australia, currently ranked the best side in women's cricket, then we went on to win the Ashes, followed by this series win in New Zealand. "To say this is a massive achievement is an understatement. "I am so pleased to have been involved."
