Leah Poulton hit her first century for Australia as they beat New Zealand by five runs to take a winning 3-0 lead in the five-match Rose Bowl series. The 22-year-old made 101 off 136 balls as the World Cup holders totalled 236-6 at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
But New Zealand made a good attempt at their run chase with opener Maria Fahey in the anchor role.
She eventually fell for 69 and they came up short on 231-8 despite Nicola Browne's 35 not out off 27 balls.
Australia were captained for the first time by Lisa Sthalekar in the absence of Karen Rolton, who injured her left knee during the second game on Sunday.
A scan has revealed a minor tear of the meniscus and she will undergo surgery in Adelaide on 7 November, ruling her our for four to six weeks.
