0512: Shane Warne is relieved by Jason Gillespie after 23 overs from the Cathedral End.

Caddick flashes wildly at his first ball but clips through midwicket for four to bring up the 150.

0508: Dawson gains three consecutive fours off McGrath, cutting and driving through the off-side.

0506: Still irritated at the lbw decision, Warne bowls a bouncer to Caddick.

0459: Warne hits Caddick on the toe, but the ball is going down leg.

0452: The players are back out and Dawson takes guard to McGrath, flicking a single to fine leg.

0435: Andy Caddick walks to the crease but the rain has got worse and the umpires take the players off for a third time.

0433: Harmison is caught on the pad attempting a waft across the line and is sent on his way. England 134-9.

0427: New man Harmison is all at sea to McGrath.

0424: Expecting a shorter delivery, Hoggard is comprehensively yorked by McGrath. England 132-8.

0414: Hoggard gets off the mark backward of square on the leg side.

0411: With the first ball of the new over, Stewart is struck plumb on the pad by a straight delivery from Warne to be dismissed lbw for 57. England 130-7.

0408: White looks to pull McGrath, predictably gets a top-edge and is taken by substitute Brett Lee at midwicket.

0405: The players return after a second short rain delay.

0358: Koertzen and Bucknor have not left the field as the rain appears to have stopped.

0355: The umpires confer and take the players off for rain, to the delight of the heavily-English crowd.

0352: Australia celebrate a catch for short leg Martyn off a White inside edge. Umpire Koertzen rules not out, but replays show he is incorrect.

0346: Stewart scampers a single, just beating the throw of Waugh from mid-wicket.

0341: McGrath beats White's inside edge, going over the top of off-stump as the rain gets heavier again. The Barmy Army boo as the umpires decide on another over.

0335: Shane Warne continues from the Cathedral End after bowling unchanged through the morning.

0330: The teams take the field after an extended lunch, with drizzle still quite heavy. The umpires converse and call play.

White clips McGrath's first ball through midwicket for two.
