Laxman returns to the squad after recovering from a bad back

India have recalled Gautam Gambhir, VVS Laxman and Ishant Sharma for November's Test series against New Zealand.

Batsman Yuvraj Singh once again misses out but youngster Cheteshwar Pujara, who made his debut against Australia earlier this month, retains his place.

Gambhir and Sharma missed the last Test with knee injuries, while Laxman missed the match because of a back problem.

The first Test starts in Ahmedabad on 4 November, with the second and third Tests in Hyderabad and then Nagpur.
