Harmer coached Australia's women to three World Cup finals |
Bangladesh are to talk to John Harmer about becoming their new coach. The former England women's coach, fellow Australian Jamie Siddons and former Zimbabwe captain David Houghton were named on a shortlist in July.
Plans for an appointment were shelved when the government dissolved the board and kept interim coach Shaun Williams.
But Harmer, 65, has now been called to Dhaka to make his case to become the permanent successor to Dav Whatmore, who quit following the World Cup.
A biomechanics expert, Harmer had two years in charge of England's women after leading the Australian women's team to three World Cup finals during his eight-year tenure.
