Bangladesh have shelved plans to hire a new permanent coach and have asked interim coach Shaun Williams to stay on for the ICC World Twenty20. After that tournament, in South Africa in September, the Bangladesh Cricket Board will work to install a new coach before December's tour of New Zealand.
A new interim committee has taken over the BCB after the government dissolved the previous committee on Sunday.
Dave Houghton had been on a shortlist to be the new coach of Bangladesh.
The former Zimbabwe captain and Derbyshire coach had appeared on the old committee's shortlist, along with Australians Jamie Siddons and John Harmer.
