Panesar struggled during the final two days in Chennai
Former England one-day batsman Vikram Solanki says spinner Monty Panesar's display will be one of England's main concerns after the Chennai Test.
The Worcestershire captain told BBC WM: "Monty Panesar would have hoped to have had more of an impact on the game.
"They [England] would like Monty bowling as well as he can, as well as he has done for England in the past."
"He's a massive player for England in Test cricket, and particularly in India," the 32-year-old added.
Solanki played in 51 one-day internationals for England - the most ODIs by an England player never to play in a Test - and three Twenty20 internationals.
He continued: "Spin bowling in India plays a massive part as we all know, and Monty is the premier spinner. So there's a little bit of pressure involved as far as him being that premier spinner.
"He would like to have bowled better than he did, and I'm sure he'll put in a better performance, will hope to do so in the next Test."
Northants left-armer Panesar took 0-105 in the second innings as India chased 387 to win in Chennai - a record fourth-innings chase in Asia.
