Collingwood took two wickets as his side beat India by 42 runs |
England captain Paul Collingwood believes his one-day side are developing into a "fearless" team. England beat India by 42 runs in an impressive display on Monday to take a 2-1 lead in the seven-game series.
"The best way to play one-day cricket is with a fearless attitude - it is getting filtered into our bloodstream.
"But there are only three games gone so we won't get too carried away. We're getting scores of around 300 and that shows we're improving," he said.
"In many ways I was as satisfied with this performance as I was at the Rose Bowl (where England won last week's series opener by 104 runs).
"I know that was what I called near-perfect but the efforts from all the lads here were exceptional."

Collingwood praised his side's efforts in the field after they bowled India out for 239 on a placid pitch, despite being without injured all-rounders Andrew Flintoff and Dimitri Mascarenhas.
"It was a top effort. I thought our total of 281-8 was about par but the way we fielded and the way the bowlers performed was exceptional," he said.
"The efforts of our attack in the last 10 overs really won us the match."
Ian Bell was again the mainstay of the England innings, hitting his third consecutive half century, but it was the performance of pacemen James Anderson and Stuart Broad that pleased Collingwood more.

"It turned out to be a nice pitch to bat on and the openers gave us a nice platform to run the ball around in the middle overs," he said.
"But I wondered if we were short of runs at the interval so it was important we hit our straps in the field and we saved a lot of runs in the field.
"Stuart and James are doing a tremendous job up front for us.
"They're keeping the Indian batsmen under pressure and the best thing is they are still learning and I'm sure they will keep improving."
Man-of-the-match Bell added: "We have been working on things in the field, making sure it is as sharp as possible.
"It is something we target. Any team we play against we want to beat them in the field. If we are running well between the wickets and fielding well it can be worth 15 to 20 runs."
