Shane Watson's hopes of playing in any Tests in the ongoing Ashes series appeared over after he re-injured his left hamstring playing for Queensland. Watson would have played in the first Test in his home ground Brisbane but was forced to withdraw when he tore his hamstring in a domestic one-day game.
Watson was in good form when he broke down on Saturday in a match against South Australia in Adelaide.
The all-rounder pulled up sore after bowling a bouncer to Jason Gillespie.
