Caddick celebrates his last Test wicket in January 2003 |
Andrew Caddick has accused the England selectors of a lack of respect for failing to contact him since the start of the season.
The Somerset paceman returned to action in April after back surgery, but has not been called upon for the Tests.
He said: "The England management need to communicate a bit more with those on the fringe of international cricket.
"I respect their views on selection - as far as communication is concerned, it is just lacking," he said.
The 35-year-old, who has taken 234 wickets in 62 Tests, served notice of his intentions by taking five wickets in the County Championship for Somerset on Thursday. Kent bowler Martin Saggers was the man called up when the England attack was hit by injuries during the series against New Zealand earlier this summer.
Caddick added: "I won't retire just yet from international cricket. I still feel I have something to prove, something to show and something to offer.
"I have the experience and still think I can take wickets at international standard.
"David Graveney and Rod Marsh have seen me bowl well at the start of the summer and the communication has been lacking since. Nothing has been said.
"I just need to know what is going on but for now it's just a case of getting out there and carrying on."
