Harmison 'better than ever'
Harmison broke through with three wickets just before lunch
England fast bowler Stephen Harmison believes his bowling was better on day one in Trinidad than in the dramatic final stages of the first Test.

Harmison, who took 7-12 on Sunday, claimed first day figures of 5-48 as the West Indies crashed from 100-0 to 189-8 in the second Test.

"In a period just after lunch it felt better than on Sunday," he said.

"It just seemed to click again. I found the right length and the wickets came just like that."

It was a dramatic turnaround from the opening exchanges, when Chris Gayle hit a boundary-filled 62 in an opening partnership with Devon Smith.

Harmison claimed three wickets in two overs to leave the home side 110-3 at lunch, including West Indies skipper Brian Lara for a fourth-ball duck.

"We had a tough morning with the sun out and Chris Gayle was playing some good shots," Harmison explained.

"Then 20 minutes before lunch there was a bit of cloud cover and I managed to get a few wickets.

"Lara is a world-class player and when I got his wicket that gave me a bit of a kick for the rest of the innings."
