Naved will spearhead Yorkshire's attack next summer |
Seam bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan has been passed fit to join Yorkshire as their overseas player this summer. The 29-year-old is recovering from a dislocated shoulder suffered while playing for Sussex last season.
"Rana has made a remarkable recovery and we are particularly impressed with his desire to play for Yorkshire," said chief executive Stewart Regan.
"We have agreed with Rana to delay his debut for several weeks so that when he returns he is in top condition."
Naved, who has played nine Tests and 62 one-day internationals for Pakistan, took 50 wickets last summer to help Sussex win the County Championship for the third time in five years.

However, he injured his shoulder when he collided with an advertising board while fielding in a game against Durham.
Despite that, Yorkshire agreed a two-year contract with him after Sussex confirmed fellow Pakistani Mushtaq Ahmed would be their sole overseas player for 2008.
Confirmation that Naved would join Yorkshire came after a make-or-break fitness test with physio Scott McAllister.
"I am relieved that this period of uncertainty is now over and I can become a Yorkshire player in 2008," said Rana, who plans to join up with his new team-mates on 7 April once the squad returns from a pre-season tour to Dubai.
"I am pleased with my progress and feel in good shape. I am confident I can take wickets for Yorkshire."
