Naved has played nine Tests and 62 one-day internationals |
Yorkshire have completed the signing of former Pakistan and Sussex bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan on a two-year contract. The 29-year-old was a key part of this year's title-winning side but Sussex let him go after choosing Mushtaq Ahmed as their overseas player for next year.
Naved will have a thorough test on his dislocated right shoulder before linking up with the Tykes next March.
He collided with an advertising board in a match at Durham, but Yorkshire said they expect him to recover fully.
Naved's contract includes a get-out clause if there are any problems with his rehabilitation, but Yorkshire chief executive Stewart Regan told the Yorkshire Post he was optimistic about the player's chances.
"We are confident that, following physiotherapy over the last two weeks at Sussex, he will make a speedy recovery," he said.
