Yorkshire batsman Andrew Gale has signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at Headingley until 2010. The 23-year-old left-hander was a regular in the limited-overs side last season and now wants to secure a regular place in the four-day team.
"With our overseas player (Rana Naved-ul-Hasan) being a bowler there's a place up for grabs in the middle order," he said.
"I know I can fill that spot and do well," he added.
