Sreesanth hopes a spell at Edgbaston will earn him an India recall
Indian fast bowler Sreesanth revealed he was attracted to Warwickshire by the chance to work with his hero, and the club's bowling coach, Allan Donald.
The 26-year old made his Bears' debut in the emphatic Pro 40 victory against Leicestershire at Edgbaston on Sunday.
"It's a great opportunity to work under Donald, he's my childhood hero," Sreesanth told BBC WM.
"Even now he's a living legend - to work under him and play for a club like Warwickshire is a great opportunity."
The 14-times capped Test bowler has been recruited to add extra threat to a promising young seam attack including Chris Woakes, Naqaash Tahir and Boyd Rankin.

And, as he targets a return to the international fold, Sreesanth is keen to emulate the success enjoyed by his compatriot Zaheer Khan when he spent an English summer with Worcestershire.
"I had a chat with him and he said it may be a slow start, but once you get into the rhythm it's so much fun," he said.
"I'm looking to play as many games as possible, especially after playing for my country.
"With them you don't play so much, and there are a lot of gaps in between games - this is a real test of character for me."
Sreesanth's determination to come to Edgbaston was sorely tested by the red tape that has made employing overseas players increasingly difficult, but he is sure it will all have been worthwhile.
"It was quite tough to get here, the last three or four weeks I was trying my best. It was nice to get here and play a game," he noted.
Now Sreesanth is set to make his Championship debut in the Division One fixture at Trent Bridge against Nottinghamshire.
