Lancefield made 381 runs for Surrey during the summer

Surrey duo Tom Lancefield and Rory Burns have signed their first professional deals with the club.

Batsman Lancefield, 20, made his first-class debut against Bangladesh in May and went on to feature in seven County Championship and five FP t20 games.

Wicketkeeper Burns, also 20, has yet to make his first-class debut but has impressed in the second XI side.

Lancefield has signed a one-year contract while Burns has committed for two years.

Surrey professional cricket manager Chris Adams said: "I am confident that both Tom and Rory will prove to be excellent additions to our squad.

"Both of these guys have been involved with Surrey for over a decade in different youth teams, so for them to simultaneously graduate into our professional squad says a great deal about the strength of coaching ability we have throughout our set-up."
