Nel took 2-61 in Surrey's win over Lancashire on Sunday |
Surrey fast bowler Andre Nel has been suspended for two matches for breaching the England and Wales Cricket Board's disciplinary code. The 32-year-old was reported by umpires Neil Bainton and Rob Bailey for dissent following the Clydesdale Bank 40 match with Lancashire on Sunday. Nel was handed three penalty points for the breach of the ECB code. Added to the six points he received in the previous two seasons, it means the paceman must serve an automatic ban. The former South Africa international will now miss Surrey's Clydesdale Bank 40 matches against the Unicorns on Sunday and away to Worcestershire on Bank Holiday Monday.
