Tudor hopes to resume his career at another county |
Former England bowler Alex Tudor has been released by Surrey even though he had a year left on his contract. The 26-year-old has been struggling with a side injury and only featured in one Championship match this season.
Surrey chief executive Paul Sheldon said: "Alex has been a wonderful servant to the club over the past 10 seasons and we wish him all the best."
Tudor said he was sad to leave but was hoping to be fit enough to resume his career elsewhere.

He said: "I have recently seen a specialist who has diagnosed my injury and we are both confident that I can regain my fitness in the next six months." Tudor has played 10 Test matches for England, the latest being nearly two years ago in the Ashes in Perth, when he was hit on the head by a Brett Lee bouncer.
He played 67 first class matches for Surrey, scoring 1543 runs and taking 211 wickets.
