Somerset are planning to take Twenty20 cricket to Bath's Recreation Ground for the first time next season. Chief executive Richard Gould told BBC Radio Bristol they would look to move the wicket to allow them to use the existing stands of Bath rugby club. "The hope is to take a Twenty20 match to Bath where I think it will be very well received," he said. "It's a chance to spread it around as there are a huge amount of supporters around the South West." Gould continued: "The current wickets we play on [at Bath Cricket Club] are east of the Recreation Ground which is tantalising and just too far away from the existing stands. "So in effect we have to build a cricket ground from scratch. "But by moving the strip slightly to the west we can bring in all of the facilities that the rugby club and the Rec can offer us."
