Somerset's Alfonso Thomas reveals deal with Trescothick
Thomas joined Somerset in 2008 after one season at Warwickshire
Somerset fast bowler Alfonso Thomas's prize for taking 100 wickets in all competitions this season is the choice of one of Marcus Trescothick's bats.
The Somerset skipper gave Thomas the challenge of passing a century, which he did in this week's key County Championship win over Lancashire.
"I went over to his bat corner before the season started and asked him what I had to do to get one," said Thomas.
"He said get me 100 wickets and you can take your pick."
Thomas continued: "Now I've got 101 I can go up to the changing room and choose one."
Somerset have three games left this season which could see them pick up two trophies.
On Saturday they face Essex in the CB40 semi-final at Taunton with the prospect of a Lord's final the following week.
We've got fantastic momentum at the moment I don't think anyone can stop us.

Then on Monday they travel to Durham for their final County Championship match in second place and with a real chance of winning the title for the first time in their history.
Something that is not lost on Somerset captain Marcus Trescothick
"The guys are well aware of the history of the club and never winning the championship, " he told BBC Somerset.
"But we've got a massive mountain to climb over the next few days.
"Three teams can win, three big games and hopefully we can get it right and get a good result and it's massive to put ourselves back in contention after almost being out of it.
Thomas is also trying to keep his feet on the ground, despite the growing excitement around the County Ground.
"We're trying our utmost not to get too far ahead of ourselves," said the 33-year-old South African
"If you'd said to us at the beginning of the season, two points behind with the last game to go I think we would have chopped off both arms really.
"We've got fantastic momentum at the moment I don't think anyone can stop us."
