Mark Turner took 2-23 against Middlesex |
Somerset paceman Mark Turner believes a thriving team spirit is fuelling the bid for FP t20 glory this season. The county are third in the South Group after their victory against Middlesex on Sunday, following a defeat to Surrey two days earlier. Turner told BBC Somerset: "That (loss) made us take a step back and reassess, but we've come back to demolish Middlesex so we couldn't ask any more." Somerset play their 12th match of 16 at home to Hampshire on Friday. Turner, who took 2-23 against Middlesex, added: "We have to remember it's a long Twenty20 period and we're not going to be firing in every single game. "It just shows what it's like at the minute in our changing room. Everyone supports everyone else and the banter is unbelievable." The top four teams in each group go through to the quarter-finals.
