Scotland failed to beat Ireland despite an impressive 98 by Fraser Watts

Scotland lost to Ireland by six wickets in the ICC World Cricket League Division One final in Amstelveen.

The Scots, batting first, were 231 all out as Fraser Watts (98) and Preston Mommsen (79) offset losing seven wickets for a paltry 28 runs.

Ireland wobbled as they chased down a total of 232 to win, teetering on 53-3 at one stage.

But Kevin O'Brien hit an unbeaten 98 and Andrew White (78) helped see the Irish home with five overs to spare.
