The Scots will be looking to continue their winning run against the Dutch

Batsmen Josh Davey will make his Scotland debut in Tuesday's one-day international against the Netherlands in Rotterdam.

The Scots survived a scare before chasing down a target of 77 to secure a four-wicket win over the Dutch in the ICC Intercontinental Cup last weekend.

"I don't think that'll have any bearing on the match," Cricket Scotland's Mike Stanger told BBC Scotland.

"I expect the Scots to do very well against the Dutch."

Unbeaten Scotland top the Intercontinental Cup table and are keen to continue their recent winning run.

"The Intercontinental Cup is very important for Scotland this year because we have a very strong chance of winning it," said Stanger.

"We have two more games to play: one against second-placed Afghanistan in August in Ayr, they're about 15 points behind us.

"If we win that game, almost certainly we will reach the final because our last game before the final is against a Zimbabwe 11 in September.

"The final will be in November in the United Arab Emirates."

Stanger said the batting scare in Deventer on Sunday would not faze Scotland's top order.

"They're all good batsman and all had a bit of collective madness on that morning; this will be a completely different game," he said.

"Josh Davey, the Aberdeen-born Middlesex opening batsmen, is making his debut, so he'll be anxious to please.

"The players will have talked over the problems of the other day but, to be honest, I don't think it will be a factor at all."

Stanger praised the impact 20-year-old Matthew Parker made with bat and ball against the Dutch.

"But to me the most supreme cricketer Scotland has at the moment is Richie Berrington. It wouldn't surprise me at all if, in the next 12 months, one of the English counties came calling."
