Scotland on brink of ICC final
Intercontinental Cup semi-final, Abu Dhabi
Scotland 300-5d & 242-5 v Kenya 95 (stumps, day two)

Wicket-keeper Smith was unbeaten overnight on 87
Scotland have all but secured their place in the final of the ICC's Intercontinental Cup after bowling Kenya out for 95.

Scotland had declared their first innings on 300-5, gaining maximum batting points, and then bowled Kenya out cheaply to add five bowling points.

In their second innings, Scotland had reached 242-5 a lead of 447.

Kenya, with their inferior bonus points, will have to win because a draw will not be good enough to proceed.

They were bowled out in the 32nd over with Paul Hoffman taking five wickets for just five runs.

Scotland did not enforce the follow-on and opener Dougie Lockhart was out first ball.

Scotland continued to lose wickets at regular intervals with Cedric English out for eight and Fraser Watts run out for 15.

But an unbeaten 87 from wicket-keeper Colin Smith and 58 not out from Kyle Coetzer steered Scotland to a seemingly unassailable position.

*In the other semi-final, Canada have a 215-run lead after declaring their first innings on 337-6. United Arab Emirates then declared on 254-8.

In their second innings, Canada were 132-5 at the close.
