Time is right to quit England - Sidebottom

Ryan Sidebottom insists he has no hard feelings against Nottinghamshire despite failing to agree a new contract at Trent Bridge for next season.

Sidebottom, who this week announced his retirement from international cricket, wanted a three-year deal at Notts but was only offered another two years.

"I have nothing against the club," he told BBC East Midlands Today.

"I love the club; they have been absolutely amazing to me but I have to do what's right for me and my family."

Sidebottom added: "It's disappointing things didn't work out but I must say thank you to everyone at Nottinghamshire.

"I probably wouldn't have played international cricket if it wasn't for Nottinghamshire."
