 | I want to experience the IPL at some stage - it looks a fantastic tournament Notts bowler Stuart Broad |
England fast bowler Stuart Broad feels his preparations have been perfect for the World Twenty20 in the West Indies. Broad chose not to play in the Indian Premier League, and instead started the county season with Nottinghamshire. "I feel great. The rest was fantastic [after England's tour of Bangladesh] to make sure the body got rid of all the niggles," the 23-year-old said. "Then this last week it was fantastic helping Notts win and getting some overs under my belt. I feel fresh." Broad, who took eight wickets in Nottinghamshire's win over Somerset, says he is keen to play in the IPL - but only when the timing is right. "I want to experience the IPL at some stage - it looks a fantastic tournament," he said. "Every player involved in it has only got good words to say. But I am pleased I had the rest this time." England face Bangladesh in their first ICC World Twenty20 warm-up fixture on Wednesday.
