Read feels there is plenty of young talent in Notts' squad

Nottinghamshire captain Chris Read feels the younger players in his squad will have the biggest impact on his side's fortunes in the new campaign.

Notts began the new season against Kent on Wednesday and Read told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It is an exciting time.

"Luke Fletcher has a bright future ahead of him and we signed Alex Hales from the MCC ground staff who looks like he will be a good run-getter.

"We also have some good young bowlers from the area like Andy Carter."
