Nottinghamshire have confirmed Aussie batsman David Hussey will stand in as captain for Stephen Fleming in the opening five weeks of the season. Fleming will be leading New Zealand in the World Cup and will not arrive until late May.
Notts director of Cricket Mick Newell said: "I expect Hussey to bring a lot of enthusiasm to the job.
"He's got good tactical awareness and has been getting some experience of captaincy with Victoria this winter."
Notts will not pick a replacement overseas player in the weeks leading up to Fleming's arrival.
From late May onwards, Hussey and Fleming will occupy the two overseas player berths permitted.
