Leicestershire head coach Tim Boon has defended captain Paul Nixon's decisions in the defeat at Lancashire. The Foxes lost by 37 runs at Old Trafford, their third straight defeat in this season's Twenty20 Cup. Asked why Jeremy Snape did not bowl more, Boon told BBC Radio Leicester: "The captain has to make the choices out on the field under pressure. "You've got to make a calculated gamble, all those decisions have got to be made in split seconds." Off-spinner Snape bowled only one over in the defeat at Old Trafford. Leicestershire are bottom of the North division after two losses to Lancashire and one to Durham in their first three games.
