Snape seeks Foxes Twenty20 glory

Jeremy Snape
Snape has won the Twenty 20 Cup twice with the Foxes

Jeremy Snape wants Leicestershire to win the Twenty20 Cup so he can play in cricket's new Champions League.

The English finalists will join teams from India, South Africa and Australia for the tournament in the autumn.

Snape was a coach for the Rajasthan Royals who recently won the Indian Premier League and are already qualified for the Champions League.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "Hopefully I'll be playing with Leicestershire out there, that's my first choice."

He added: "If that doesn't quite work out then hopefully I'll be coaching with Rajasthan."

Snape won the Twenty20 Cup with Leicestershire in 2004 and 2006.
