Head coach Tim Boon feels Du Preez is like Darren Gough

Leicestershire have made their second signing in a week, bringing in South African pace bowler Dillon du Preez.

The 26-year-old, who joins under the Kolpak ruling, took the second highest amount of wickets for his South African side, the Eagles.

"He swings it away from the right hand batter, almost in the shape of Darren Gough," head coach Tim Boon told BBC Radio Leicester.

"He has a strong set of values, and he's really keen to learn and fit in."

Last Thursday, the Foxes signed West Indies pace bowler Jermaine Lawson, another Kolpak signing.

The Kolpak ruling allows citizens of countries with associate agreements with the European Union - such as South Africa, Zimbabwe and Jamaica - to not be considered as overseas players.
