Leicestershire have released locally born batsman Darren Stevens after eight seasons on the county staff. The 28-year-old, who was a member of the England Academy squad in 2002-03, scored 666 runs in 12 Championship appearances this summer.
He also played in the Twenty20 Cup final when Leicestershire defeated Surrey to lift the trophy.
The club have also released spin bowler George Walker and all-rounder Damian Brandy.
