Cross says Lancashire must win all remaining CB40 games

Gareth Cross says Lancashire must win all six of their remaining CB40 games to stand a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Lancashire remain fifth in Group C after their game against Somerset was abandoned due to rain.

The game at Old Trafford ended in a no result, with Lancashire on 39-3 after seven overs.

Cross told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We need to win nearly every game but if we do we'll put pressure on other teams."

Lancashire are six points behind group leaders Somerset with only the group winners guaranteed a place in the knockout stages.

"We started off pretty poorly in this competition but then won the last few games," Cross added.

"We knew we had to win every game to get through but its rained off pretty much all around the county so its equalled itself out really.

"[We're] obviously disappointed not to play because it was a chance for the younger lads to show what they can do, [but] there is nothing you can do about the weather."
